So yeah. More and more people have been coming into the store and haggling.
Haggling. In retail.
Not sure if they think they can haggle because they think the name "World Market" implies that it's some kind of foreign bazaar, or what. Let me disabuse everyone of that notion: it is still in the U.S.A. and it is still a retail store with set prices. Pay it, get the item. Don't pay it, don't get it.
As an added bonus, these people have terribly lame skills of persuasion. My favorite line so far is "I really want it, but I don't want to pay that much for it." Now, how does that motivate me, a paid-by-the-hour employee, to give this person a discount? What's the incentive? As far as I know, that line summarizes the basic desire of any buyer: to pay less for something. I'm pretty sure that everyone would want to pay less for something if they could. Unless they're already getting it for free, in which case it's not actually buying something.
My gut reaction is to tell these people "Well, then I guess you need to save up for it -- or find it elsewhere for less." But I don't. I also don't give out discounts like a fundie hands out leaflets.
If you want a discount: a) go to a discount store; b) have genuine intent to buy a damaged or discontinued item in our store; or c) show me your boobs.
Until then, don't bug me about the prices. I didn't set them, and I'm not here to do your wallet any favors.

25% per nipple - but what if they have ugly nipples? Do you get a greater discount for the whole boob?
The 25% is just a baseline. I can adjust from there, depending on nipple attractiveness, and of course the more boob (percentage of the total, not actual size - though bigger helps your chances) exposed, the more you save.
25% per nipple? I think that's a pretty big discount for just nipples. What would I get if I flashed you both boobs?~~?
