Caffeinated Bacon? Baconated Grapefruit?

I don't claim to know anything about raising children. But I can tell you that if I had three children between the ages of 3 and 8 I would NOT be encouraging them to drink coffee like the woman I saw in the store today did for hers.

I was over in the gourmet section (which, thanks to a rapid promotion, has become "my" section) when the woman and her kids (one of whom was riding in the shopping cart seat) came over to the coffee sample area and each had a cup, all the while discussing the pros and cons of this particular roast/brew compared to other coffees they'd had -- which were apparently more numerous than the coffees I've had.

I dunno. Maybe it's just me, but I wouldn't want to encourage any more hyper/spastic behavior than kids already tend to have. And these kids did, in fact, start getting louder and more... energetic... after about 10 minutes. I sure as hell wasn't going to pick up anything they knocked over or broke as they darted around the aisles. Thankfully, they didn't knock anything over, and soon left the store -- presumably to hit Starbucks or somesuch.
