How is it that a Covenant alien (see: Halo) knows that he's got a sniper sight aimed at his head from like a half mile away and therefore dodges out of the way, yet doesn't know that he's about to get a plasma grenade stuck to his face or get pistol whipped in the back of his head? It's dumb. The sniper rifle is just about the worst possible weapon in that game. You can do better with the pistol's scope -- and you can carry more ammo for the pistol. And what is with the Marines in that game? If they behaved as stupidly as they do, they never would have survived basic training -- and these guys are in space! "Fighting" aliens! Poseurs.
If anyone is in the market for some Star Wars stuff (or Magic cards), I still need to try to get rid of the items that didn't sell on eBay. They will eventually end up there again, so get 'em before I relist them!
Also, if anyone wants to help me train for the D&D Miniatures qualifiers (one in MN on May 20 and one in MD on June 10), let me know and we can play online on Vassal -- it's free, though you do need the units' stats, but those can be found free online too.
Forest, I hope you've been training for that marathon. Yikes.
I continue to wow the Koreans in the area with my meager language skills. Eventually something good will come of it, I'm sure.

Speaking of Halo, all my kills this weekend at Forrest's will be dedicated to you, Paul (this is brian).
Maybe the Korean ladies at the post office can get you a job there - so long as you don't swipe all your packing needs for your e-bay sales
