I was watching the Amazing Race recently (a great show, by the way, if you haven't seen it -- though this season isn't as good as last), and the teams were in Botswana. The host, Phil, was describing the area they were in, and I thought he said "My Hottie-Hottie Pants." Turns out it was actually the Makgadikgadi Pans (salt pans). I like my way better.
Also in televised race news: the Gumball 3000 rally will take place in Asia in 2006 -- China, North Korea, and South Korea, to be precise. It will be interesting to see how they manage the North Korea portion of the race, what with not allowing outside media in freely, and not allowing the North Korean public to see such a display of opulence.
