English Speeching Here Well

Do I talk/write funny?  Are my language patterns conveying meanings beyond what I intend?  Lately, on several of the message boards I frequent (well, there are only about 4, and one really can't be called "frequent") some of my posts have been misconstrued like never before.
The interesting thing is that in two of the cases, the respondents' locations (from the user profile) were countries in which English is not the native language.
Now, both of these individuals had pretty good grasp of English (better than my grasp of any non-English language), but they somehow read things in my posts that, to me, seem to have required a religious miracle to see.
The one that really bothered me was the guy who insisted I was attacking someone else by asking what I thought was a fairly innocuous question that was basically "why do you think that?"
*shrug*  I just don't get it.

For what it's worth to those "at home" reading this, I just saw Spiderman 2 last night.  Much better than the first one.  Planning on seeing Troy next week.

One of my bosses (I have two, who have both been on leave in the US since mid-June) returns next week.  Not sure what I think about that yet.

Anyway, I guess I'll quit rambling.  For now.  I've got Under Secretary Bolton's visit to think about, and D&D Miniatures skirmish game warbands to design.
