Ayi Masterstroke, the Second

For many years, I have used a Gillette Mach 3 razor, including a base (depicted here) which holds the blade cartridge (shown here) underneath.

Well, it seems that our ayi knows that in the grand scheme of things, the base is not meant to hold the cartridge. It was left for me to discover that the clips that hold the cartridge in place had been forcibly removed. It couldn’t possibly be that the cartridge fell out and she couldn’t figure out the simple act of putting it back into its spot. No, in our ayi’s sight, the convenience of having razor, base, and blades all contained in a compact package enfeebles us and makes us indolent. It is far better to carry them separately and to be ever vigilant against losing track of one or more of the components.
