The Customer is Wrong

No, you don't get to buy a few different types of candy, take them out of the store, open them up and try them, then decide you don't like them and come back to demand a refund.

What happened to: "Hmm, I have some spending money available, and this candy intrigues me. I think I'll commit some of my money to giving it a try. If I like it, I might buy more in the future. If I don't, next time I can try something else."

Where the heck did people get the notion that they could get what amounts to a completely free taste test? I guess stores should just have an "open package" policy so you can try each and every product before you buy it. But wait -- people already open packages in the store to try stuff! When did that enter someone's mind as being acceptable?

Gah. I've had it.

Retail really gives you a great view of humanity. I've had such a great opinion of people since I worked retail.:)

I think it's crazy when people return meals in restaurants because they don't like them. There's nothing wrong with them, they just don't like them. Drives me nuts!

One of the kids at school works at a grocery store and I was amazed at what people try to return there. Like, butter. Of a brand that the store doesn't sell.

Wait...so if I discover only after eating 9/10 of a candy bar that said candy bar was a bit stale, I am -not- entitled to a replacement free of charge? Not cool.

I suppose the next thing you'll tell me is that your employer won't take currency from any country other than this one. What the heck good was it to keep the $3.74 in NZ currency anyhow if it's not good at a store called the "World" market?
