So yeah. I know it's been almost a month since my last post. I suck.
But I've actually got some things to write about now! Had kind of a dry spell for a while there. So, here goes -- in approximate order in which I thought of them:
My name is too common/plain/whatever. I can't get cool e-mail addresses with my name in them, since nearly all permutations of my name are already taken. I think I should change my name to something like Onur Odnu, the name of a fellow who recently signed up for coupons by e-mail at the store. I bet he's able to get his name at just about any e-mail server he wants.
Have you seen the "comic" strip Prickly City? It's a regular in the Washington Post. Anyway, every strip I've read has "gotten my goat" in some way. What I can't figure out, though, is if this guy is way smarter than me, or just an ass. Look for the strip, and let me know.
Also in said newspaper, I also read recently that a (small) group of Starbuck's employees are trying to organize a union. The reasons? Inconsistent work schedules. Uh, hello... it's retail. If you want a 9-5 job, go get one. As much as I dislike Starbuck's, I hope the chump trying to start up the union fails.
Part of the reason my blogging is late (this time) is my mom visited for a little over a week. We hit some touristy places that we hadn't been to before, like Monticello and Annapolis and the Chesapeake Bay bridge. I think we all had a good time -- at least I did. We even got Mom to play the Puerto Rico board game, and I learned that the actual name for the colonist pieces (according to Mom) is "jobber doobers" -- as in, "I need more jobber doobers."
I would also like to take a moment to wish Pusher & that guy she's with a belated "happy anniversary." Sorry to anyone else I've forgotten, but since theirs is only a few days away from ours, it's the easiest one for me to remember!

Happy anniversary to you, too!
As to the comic strip, he's definitely not way smarter than you.
