We liked the place (and the price) of the place we looked at on Saturday, so we signed a lease. We'll pick up the keys this coming Sunday, and next week we'll see our stuff that's been in storage since September 2002. I hope the movers don't hate us because there's no elevator (we're on the fourth floor).
Sounds like getting the car registered in Maryland will be substantially easier than it would have been in Virginia, though it may cost a pretty penny. I'm still trying to figure out the details, but there may be an excise tax we have to pay based on the current book value of the vehicle, on top of the $150+ for all the registration fees.
The only real problem with the place is that it's hella far out from DC. It's like a 45-minute metro ride to downtown. Nobody's gonna want to come visit us.
But for those who may still want to visit, know that we've got a 3-bedroom place so there'll be plenty of space -- as long as you don't all come at the same time!
