Saran Wrap and Cardboard

I never thought I'd be that guy. You know, the guy with the clear plastic taped over a broken window on his car. But that's me now.
Yep -- on the "ddong-cha" (shit car) Hyundai we bought from a departing diplomat, the front passenger window crank/mechanism failed, with the window two thirds of the way down.

The minor repairs on the VW are done, so now we have two cars to take to "Charlie's Garage" to see what he can do with a Hyundai window and a VW transmission.

With everything that's going wrong lately (VCR died, TV is well on its way) I'm sort of afraid to go to the dentist. But he's on vacation until August 26 anyway.

In case you're interested: the list of available positions for D-What's next assignment was released in the last 18 hours or so. There are over 400, so I'm not going to try to list any here. E-mail if you want details.

The (relatively) new Clutch CD arrived today. Haven't had a chance to listen to it. But the case sucks. I hate the cardboard ones.

But the cardboard cases can be easily recycled because you we're silly enough to buy a clutch CD. Your musical tastes are an enigma to me.

I usually am not apt to come to Paul's defense when it comes to musical tastes (i.e. Dambuilders, XTC, Snow), but I think you're in dangerous territory, Forest. Two words for you and -your- cd collection: Ethyl Meatplow.

As for your complaint, Paul...Clutch is on an independent label. They can't afford the extra .07 per case, and the extra .16 to transport. So quit your complaining, take a good look at the drawing for "The Huntress," and enjoy the fastest Clutch album yet.

Forest, you can blame Shane for introducing Clutch to me.
Shane: Dambuilders? Who dat?

Paul, Glad to see you are breaching the language barriers by learning swear words. ("ddong-cha") I hope you are reciprocating by teaching the diplomats some of our American ones as well. Communication is key to good government relations... or so they say.
