Priority 1: Time Machine. Priority 2: Weather Machine.

We're back from our 4-day, 3-night trip to Guilin and Yangshuo. (They're in the Guangxi province in southwest China, in case you're looking for 'em on a map.)
The weather was not very cooperative (as you'll see in the photos), so here's one of the better shots. I'm pretty sure D-What will fill you in on the details of our adventure.

The rest of the best (about 30 out of 400 total taken between our two cameras) can be seen here.

So, yeah. Interesting place; too bad we couldn't really see it clearly. Now we have the dilemma of choosing whether to spend more money to go back there at some point when the weather is better, or to travel to any number of other equally interesting places in China. Maybe if we had visitors who wanted to go there (just don't use our pictures as a basis to judge, as they don't give the place a fair shake) we'd go back.

Well, I'm not liking Photobucket much any more, so I'm probably going to make the move to Flickr soon. I'll let you know.

It looks gorgeous even with the poor weather.
