And as for what the Book of Wog might contain: I'd want to give the people what they want. Unfortunately, I don't know what the people would want. Ultimately, I guess it would be one of two things: some sort of sci-fi/fantasy story, or a memoir of sorts. For it to be a memoir, I'd need to have done/seen/thought some things that would be interesting enough for people to want to read it. For the sci-fi/fantasy story, I would want it to be my own original concoction, but I fear that too many influences from that genre would seep in and it would turn out as a poor/obvious imitation.

SVB says:
Why don't you put a little more pressure on yourself. Sheesh, if every would be writer were to refuse to write anything that might be derivative of something else, there's be all of 21 sci fi books to read. Half by Heinlein, which, in my opinion, is unfortunate.
You've got plenty of noteworthy material to guide you...it's all about perspective and how you write it. Just write, dude. Entertain us.
Or take your clothes off to entertain us:)
My first car was an '84 Chevy Cavalier, that was second hand from Jaysan, that was second hand from who knows how many other people. That was in my third year of college, I think. We called it the Mach 5, because it idled at 30 MPH. You didn't have to touch the gas pedal when you were driving around Morris.
