Yes, it's that time of year again: the D&D Miniatures qualifier season. The "local" one for me is this Saturday, the 19th. I haven't played competitively since early November, and even that was a different format ("sealed" booster). I haven't played in the "constructed" format (which the qualifier is) since around last September. Two entire sets of miniatures and maps have passed me by in terms of competitive play. So I don't know what warband to run. Here's hoping for a good dose of "re-beginner's" luck.
Also, registration for Gen Con events is up and running, so if anyone wants to join me and AK in Indy in August, let me know -- my room at the Embassy Suites can sleep up to four in comfort at no additional cost.
Anyway, as promised, here are a few pics from Jamaica:

Holy crap am I out of touch, having only a fragment of an idea about what you're describing regarding warbands, series of maps, etc.
By the way, be put on notice than any royalties accruing from Aaron being dubbed AK go directly to me, Shane "Nickname" Bohnen.
Great pictures...how nice it is to get nearer the equator and sleep to the sound of the tide...
Don't let the lack of big news at home slow down the blog posts. Keep the good writing coming.
I will definitely pass on any royalties I receive for using "AK."
I doubt you're any more out of the loop than the average bloke. Ask me something about sports -- you'll see.
